Wheat is sugar

By Dr. Davis | March 29, 2019 6 Comments

Many people have come to believe that the only problem with wheat is gluten. But there are many other issues with wheat that impair health.

The amylopectin A carbohydrate of wheat is unique in its digestibility, making it worse than table sugar in its capacity to raise blood sugar, cause insulin resistance, and contribute to type 2 diabetes.

This explains why the elimination of all foods made of wheat leads to dramatic reductions in blood sugar, insulin resistance, HbA1c, and type 2 diabetes.

It’s not just wheat, ALL carbohydrates are turned into sugar in your digestive tract. This basic fact seems to escape dietitians and most doctors (and the ADA) who tell diabetics to eat carbs and lots of them. Then they prescribe drugs and insulin to drive down the resultant high blood sugar. The mantra is carb up and then shoot up. And since all those excess carbs get turned into fat in the liver which then require LDL to transport them via the bloodstream – horror of horrors, you’re cholesterol level is high! Start taking statins immediately!

As Mike Eades would say, the depth of their dumbth is amazing.

      What iPhone model?
Were you able to install the Zoom app from the Apple App Store?

What was the failure mode? (error messages, etc.)

I might add that the above is “more than I know” about using an iPhone in Zoom. I have used both a Windows PC and an older Android phone in Zoom, but there are no Apple devices in my home.

      re: «…why I can’t gain any weight…»

      Gain, or lose?

      re: «…having leg cramps…»

Here are some tips on that.

If that is still lurking, be aware that there are some rapid developments in cancer treatment emerging, in particular the PI3K inhibitors:
BMJ: Combating pancreatic cancer with PI3K pathway inhibitors in the era of personalised medicine

That paper, sigh, entirely neglects to mention diet, but it’s clear from other work:
YouTube: Lewis Cantley – Obesity, Diabetes and Cancer: The Insulin Connection
that the key is low insulin, which implies very low net carb, if not full ketogenic during treatment.

re: «Am doing good but maybe I need more calories?»

Strength training is the normal suggestion for weight gain:
WB Blog: Am I Too Skinny?
Plus, it appears that some fraction of the population can add muscle mass faster, using the program’s L.reuteri yogurt:

Had ultra sound , found out pancreas is now normal– ??!!! just dealing w still —digestive weirdness off & on. I think Tumeric is shaking up fatty liver & guts from Roundup– which has been like a bomb for my entire endocrine system — ( I was LIVING ON VEG DIET, w grains)…..? but am DEFINITELY healing. 1 1/2 yrs now. Been doing this whole thing flying solo , by the seat of my pants with just research!!! . I will try weight training. Muscles ?? are huge in arms from push-ups. Wim Hof breathing is really working too. Saved me. Waiting for L- Reuteri to arrive. CANT WAIT!!!!
